Computer Engineering student focused on Blockchain & DeFi security.
I’m Lucas de Almeida, a Computer Engineering student and developer focused on Blockchain, DeFi, and financial applications.
My background combines Computer Engineering with Economics, business, and finance. After working closely with real businesses and financial decisions, I became increasingly interested in the systems behind them and started moving deeper into software and blockchain.
Today, I build and explore Web3 applications across Solana, Ethereum, and Stellar, working mainly with Rust, Solidity, and TypeScript. My interests are centered around DeFi, protocol engineering, asset tokenization, and smart-contract security.
Currently, I’m pursuing my degree in Computer Engineering at UFRPE, strengthening my foundations in programming, computer systems, mathematics, and software engineering while continuing to explore blockchain and decentralized systems through projects and hands-on development.
Now
- Computer Engineering at UFRPE, building a stronger foundation in programming, systems, and computer science.
- Going deeper into smart-contract security and cybersecurity fundamentals through Cyfrin Updraft and TryHackMe.
- Exploring DeFi and protocol engineering through Solana, Rust, Anchor, and Solidity.
- Revisiting earlier blockchain projects, understanding what went wrong, and documenting the lessons behind them.
Projects
Learning projects from hackathons and self-study, not products. Each has notes on how it works, what was wrong with it and what I fixed.
With a working demo
Sending crypto to a social handle instead of a wallet address, held in escrow until the owner claims it.
Tokenized funding for real-estate developments, with payouts tied to the stages of a project.
Exploring Chainlink's Runtime Environment for risk monitoring and cross-chain financial integrations.
A dashboard for the Stellar economy where every number shows where it came from.
Spending limits for an AI agent's wallet: small payments go through, large ones wait for a human.
Payment links on Solana: create a request, share it, get paid in SOL or USDC.
An intent-based swap where solvers compete to fill a user's order.
Borrowing USDC against KALE collateral on Stellar.
Code and notes only
Path
- Computer Engineering, UFRPE.
- Web3: hackathons, communities and small projects on Solana, Stellar and Ethereum.
- Real estate at Arcos: construction, development, sales and operations, coordinating teams of 100+ people.
- Economics, UNICAP.
Course certificates, each also minted as a soulbound NFT on Solana devnet.
